Deans Mill Farm [Stonington, CT]

Last month, I attended the ribbon cutting ceremony at the Deans Mill Farm in Stonington. Dean Mills Farm is a private venue situated on 78 acres of farmland. There is a recently renovated 1750-circa farmhouse that is being used as a bed and breakfast (5 bedrooms). Individual rooms or the entire house can be rented. There is a huge field which creates a perfect space for an outdoor wedding, up to 250 guests. The venue can be rented for weddings, private parties, etc.

Driving up the long driveway lined with New England stone walls to the gorgeous farmhouse was quite a sight! Right away, I definately saw many photography opportunities. The field had a huge tent with several tables for the ribbon cutting ceremony which provided free pizzas, drinks and dessert. It was fun to explore the grounds which was stunning everywhere you poked around - the farmhouse interiors, the outhouses (see the photos!), the stables/arena, the fields and more! The farmhouse was newly renovated, which you could see the labor of love that went into it. It has the space to hold up to 50 guests for parties.

Also on Deans Mill Farm, there is the Dragonfly Equestrian Center which has 18-stables for horses and a huge gorgeous arena! The center offers boarding and riding lessons. I was stunned by the beauty of the center - the arena was very open and bright.

Deans Mills Farm is gorgeous, stunning property especially for rustic weddings. I definitely recommend to newly engaged couples to tour this property to consider for your venue. So many photography opportunities, even I was bummed that I didn’t have multiple outfits in the car to get a variety of photos around the property! During the event, which took place in late September, there were a variety of fall decor including pumpkins and mums. I saw the potential for a beautiful fall wedding.
