Book Review: The Couple at Causeway Cottage

I was in the mood for a good thriller. The cover art made me interested to read the synopsis, I loved the Irish style cottage perched on the coastline. Sure enough, Northern Ireland was mentioned in the synopsis, so it pulled me into this book even more!

Synopsis:

Kat and Mark move to an island off the Northern Irish coast for a new beginning. Far away from their frantic life in London, it’s the perfect place to bring up the family they’re longing to start.

But as soon as they arrive, cracks begin to appear in their marriage. Mark is still texting his ex-wife. Kat is lying about a new friendship. And one of them is keeping an explosive secret about the past.

The couple in Causeway Cottage are hiding something – and the truth can be deadly…

Review:

This was first novel of Diane Jeffrey that I read. I. Was. Not. Expecting. That. Ending!!! My mind was reeling after I finished the book. I found it suspenseful from the beginning to end. I also loved the descriptive writing about Northern Ireland, the author really writes beautifully and makes you feel like you were there! A great thriller read, I look forward to reading more from Diana Jeffrey.

The Couple at Causeway Cottage will be released on August 18th.

Thank you to HQ HarperCollins and Net Galley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
