August reads
August wasn’t a strong reading month. I was busy living up the rest of summer! I can’t believe that September is here already. It’s bittersweet as I will miss summer but looking forward to cozy fall reads.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND
A fun quick read about a politician’s wife who found out that her husband cheated on her. She seeks revenge by joining the opposing senatorial candidate’s campaign to win against her ex-husband’s candidate. It was a very bingeable read — I always felt eager to see what happened. I enjoyed the fun and lighthearted political drama as it took place during 1960’s. I also loved the Jewishness of this book! I’m definitely a fan of Sara Goodman Confino. Be sure to read her other novels especially DON’T FORGET TO WRITE.
FAVORITE
You NEVER can go wrong with Jean Meltzer. I did an author spotlight on her and reviewed this book there: Read it here.
